Why are there no ITBs in my Project Inbox?

There are a couple of reasons that may cause an empty Project Inbox.

1. You just joined Riffle and your ITBs are not recent.

One of Riffle's priorities is to get you up-and-running as quickly as possible. When we complete our initial onboarding scan of your inbox, we only look back at a limited amount of your most recent emails—we never look through your entire inbox history. If your most recent ITB happens to be outside of that limit, our initial scan won't see it.

Good news, though! Once you join Riffle, we keep scanning on an ongoing basis, ensuring you never miss a project. Plus, it's easy to add a missing project to Riffle by simply forwarding the ITB to: [email protected]


2. Your team is super organized and keeping that inbox nice and clean

Kudos to you! 🎉 One of the benefits of joining Riffle is to keep a clear separation between (what can be) noisy ITBs and the projects you want to actively pursue—what we call, "Opportunities."


3. You opted out of sharing your inbox when you joined

If you chose to join Riffle via email + password and didn't use your email provider—or chose not to grant Riffle access to your email—then we won't be able to automatically find your ITBs.


💡 Tip: No matter the cuase of an empty Project Inbox, you can always add a project directly into the app. Visit Project Inbox → press the "add project" button in the top-right of the Open Projects list.
