How to add a Contact: Company

There are three ways to add a company. All use the same setup flow once you get started.

Adding a Company From the Companies page

  1. Click Add a Company in the top right corner.

  2. Enter the company name and press Next.

  3. Select a company type from the dropdown and enter an address. Only the city is required — all other address fields are optional. Press Next.

  4. Optionally add a contact person for the company, or press Skip for now to come back to it later.


Adding a Company during project acceptance

When accepting an ITB from the Project Inbox (or a Project Overview page).

When you accept an ITB from an unknown company (someone not in your contacts list), RiffleCM will ask you to confirm that bidder.

It's easy to see when an ITB is from an unknown bidder in your Project Inbox; known contacts/bidders will have a checkmark icon next to their name and link directly to their contact record, whereas unknown bidders will display just a name with no link or checkmark.

To add a company contact during acceptance:

  1. On the Project Inbox page, press the Mark as accepted & Assign button:

  2. Assign the project to the appropriate opportunity owner.

  3. Enter the company name and press Next.

  4. Select a company type from the dropdown.

  5. Enter their location information.

  6. Optionally add a contact person for the company, or press Skip for now to come back to it later.


Adding a Company from a Project Overview page

When adding a new bidder

  1. On the Project Overview page, scroll to Bidders/GCs for This Project and press Add a bidder at the bottom of the panel.

  2. Enter the company name and the bid due date and press Continue.

    1. Riffle's type-ahead search will show matching records as you type. If the company is already in your system, select them and identify the relevant contact at the company.

    2. If the company is not in your system, Riffle will ask for additional details. Follow the same steps as above: select a company type, add an address (city only required), and optionally add a contact.


When confirming a new Bidder from an Project Invite/ITB

When you receive a project invite from an unknown company (someone not in your contacts list), RiffleCM will ask you to confirm that bidder.

  1. The bidders panel on Project Overview pages will call out when RiffleCM has found an unknown bidder.

  2. Press the green check mark icon to confirm the bidder

  3. Confirm or enter details about the company, such as name, bid due date, bidder type, and address.

  4. Select or enter contact details for the project contact; RiffleCM will then add that person as a contact at the Company and for the project.

Once complete, the new company (and contact person) is saved to your Companies list and available across all of RiffleCM, not just on that project.
