Getting your project preferences just right

Your Project Preferences tell Riffle what types of work you prefer to target.

Written by Jen Gadus

These preferences directly drive how Riffle prioritizes your incoming ITBs. Setting these up correctly helps your team see the most relevant ITBs first and keeps your workspace aligned with your company’s strengths.

👷 Partner Types (Relationship Statuses)

Quickly add an existing contact as a Preferred/Good/Problematic Partner and unlock Advanced Priority Scoring. You can add as many companies as you'd like to any category. Riffle will then incorporate these preferences into our priority scoring model.

💡 Tip: You can even choose to tell Riffle to automatically decline any ITBs that comes from a company you view as problematic by turning on this setting:

🏗 Project Category Preferences

Select the project types your company most often completes — things like Retail, Industrial, or Medical/Healthcare. Your selections help RiffleCM highlight the kinds of projects your team actually bids on, so your pipeline stays focused.

💡 Tip: You can select more than one, if you haven't already. For example, if you work on both "Retail" and "Educational" projects, check both boxes.

🚚 Service Zone

Define how far your company is willing to travel from your office. You can pick options like "Within 25 miles", "Within 90 miles", or "No preference" if your team works anywhere. These zones help Riffle prioritize bid invites that are a match for you, helping prevent wasted time reviewing jobs that are out of your range.

💡 Tip: All settings can be changed later. Nothing you do here is permanent—Riffle is built to grow with you.
