Where to find the Bid Calendar

You'll find Calendar in the left sidebar, directly below Opportunities. Click it to open your timeline view.

💡 Tip: The Calendar is accessible to everyone on your team and reflects the same projects visible across your Inbox and Opportunities pages based on your Office View and filter settings.

How the calendar is laid out

The calendar always shows 8 weeks at a time, starting one week before today. This default window is intentional as it surfaces bids that may need a follow-up before you focus on what's coming up next.

Understanding project status colors

Each project on the calendar appears as a badge. The color and border style tells you where that project stands at a glance. A visual key in the sticky header at the top of the calendar explains each status it stays visible as you scroll.

Here's what each status looks like:

Undecided is an invite-to-bid you haven't accepted or declined yet. The rest of the statuses for opportunities can be found here.

💡 Tip: Won and Lost projects are hidden by default to keep your calendar focused on active work. You can toggle them on in the filter panel.

Opportunity-phase projects (Accepted through Negotiating) also show the phase owner's avatar on the badge so you can see ownership right from the calendar without clicking in.

Filtering your view

Click the filter icon in the top right of the calendar to open the filter panel. It works the same way as filters on your Inbox and Opportunities pages.

Toggles (these update the calendar without adding filter pills):

  • Show Won/Lost projects - Off by default. Turn on to see closed projects alongside your active ones.

  • Show Undecided (Unaccepted Invites) - On by default. Turn off to focus only on projects you've already accepted into your pipeline.

  • Show weekends - Off by default. Turn on to add Saturday and Sunday columns to your view.

Filter pills (these appear as chips above the calendar):

  • Opportunity Phase Owner - Show only projects assigned to a specific person.

  • Project Contributors - Filter by team members contributing to a project.

⚠️ Note: The Office View toggle applies globally, just like on all other Riffle pages.

Taking quick actions from the calendar

Each project badge has a kebab menu (⋮) that gives you the same quick actions available in the Inbox and Opportunities table views like accepting, declining, updating status, and more. Available actions update automatically based on the project's current status.

Click anywhere on a project badge (outside the kebab menu) to open the full Project Details page.

Drag & drop to reschedule a project

You can drag any project badge to a different day on the calendar to update its due date with no need to open the project.

How it works:

  1. Click and hold a project badge, then drag it to a new date cell.

  2. Riffle updates the due date while keeping the original time intact.

  3. Drop it on the same day it's already on and nothing happens. It'll stay put.

A few things to know:

  • Won and Lost projects can't be dragged as their dates are locked once they reach a final status.

  • Weekend cells are only valid drop targets when Show Weekends is turned on.

If a project has multiple bidders, dragging it opens a dialog asking which bidder's due date to update:

  1. A list of bidders appears, each showing their current due date.

  2. Check the box next to the bidder(s) you want to update or use Select All to update all of them at once.

  3. Click Apply New Due Date to confirm. The Apply button stays grayed out until at least one bidder is selected.

💡 Tip: Changed your mind? Click Cancel, press Escape, or click the X and the badge snaps back to its original date.
